A fun and educational outing for elementary school children!
Starting October 1st Hodgson’s Farm will be opening its fields to local schools so the elementary school children can have the opportunity to see first hand how a working farm operates. There are tons of great activities planned! Upon your arrival at the farm a member of our helpful staff will greet you at the ticket booth. They’ll get you started, and then you’ll be on your way to discover the treats ahead…
Featuring…
A presentation will be given to each group explaining how our farm operates on a daily and seasonal basis. They will see and learn about our greenhouses and ornamental plants and flowers that are grown in them. They’ll also learn how the farm grows its 80 acres of fruit and vegetables for u-pick and farmer’s markets. By the end, students will know how food and flowers get from our fields to their table.
Tractor Hayride
You and your students will enjoy a hayride through the fields to a pumpkin patch. Each guest can pick their own sugar pumpkin and will also receive a Harvest Bag with a gourd and indian corn to take home.
Haunted House, Straw Maze & Barnyard Petting Zoo
Our Haunted House is filled with the spookiest in halloween ghosts and goblins. The children can scramble to their hearts delight through the Straw Maze and and enjoy the Barnyard Petting Zoo filled with goats, sheep, llamas and more!
Corn Maze
Treat your group to a fun and challenging team building exercise. Travel through our 3-acre Corn Maze and discover the answers to the 10 Question Quiz Trail. Admittance to the Corn Maze is now FREE to all classes with admission!
